Thank you for supporting our December Match Challenge!
A local family has offered to match all donations to the Student Relief Fund made during the month of December up to $20,000! By making a gift, you can help raise critical funds to support Stockton students facing extraordinary financial challenges. Now through Dec. 31, your gift to the Student Relief Fund will count toward this generous match, and 100 percent of your donation will directly benefit a student.
The Student Relief Fund is truly keeping students in school and changing their lives; students like Michael Faulk. The first in his family to go to college, Michael faced extraordinary financial and family challenges, made even more difficult amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He couldn’t see how he could finish his senior year and take care of his family too.
“When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, my source of income came to a halt. I was devastated that I couldn't pay my tuition and graduation fees. Because of the generosity of donors to the Student Relief Fund and the endless support of university staff, I was able to finish college and graduate.”
Michael pushed through these enormous challenges and persevered. He received his degree in May and walked at Stockton’s October commencement ceremonies with his father watching proudly.
Making a gift to the Student Relief Fund this month will double the impact we can make together for Ospreys experiencing job loss and food or housing insecurity, and help ensure they can continue their education.
Why Your Help Is Needed
While the full impact of COVID-19 on the Stockton Community is not yet known, we do know it has significantly disrupted the lives of our students. They need our help now more than ever.
Your gift to the Stockton Student Relief Fund will help cover expenses created as a result of unexpected housing and food insecurity, loss of income or that of their family, or other emergent critical needs that arise without warning. Amid the current public health crisis, the need has only increased. These students truly need your support.
About the Student Relief Fund (SRF)
The Stockton University SRF is supported entirely by charitable donations and every amount helps meet a student’s time-sensitive financial need.
