About Stockton Women’s Softball

Stockton Women’s Softball supports the University mission by providing significant components of the whole-person Stockton education. Stockton student-athletes perform both in the classroom and on the field. The student-athlete graduation rate is higher than that of non-athletes, with 75% having a GPA of at least 3.0 Softball players represent the very best that Stockton has to offer.

2019-20 Highlights

  • The Stockton softball team played one doubleheader before the remainder of the season was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19. The Ospreys split a pair of one-run games against Penn State Brandywine, dropping the opener 2-1 and then winning the nightcap 3-2 in eight innings.
  • Alexandra Cosenzo, Madison Kelly, Liani Ortiz and freshman Jayla Jamison rapped two hits apiece on the day. Marissa Semeraro pitched all eight innings to earn the win in game two. Semeraro allowed just one earned run and scattered six hits. Pitcher Samantha McErlane took a shutout into the bottom of seventh inning of game one.
  • Outfielder Meg Murzello was chosen Stockton NJAIAW Woman of the Year and selected as an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar.
