Make an IMPACT today!

School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences provides students with state of the art preparation for careers in health care including nursing, communication disorders, exercise science, public health, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Our faculty are committed to excellence in learning and teaching, service to the community, research and clinical scholarship, with as much student involvement as possible. We value and cultivate supportive relationships with our community partners, and infuse and instill an attitude of lifelong learning for excellence in health care and for improved quality of life for those we serve.

How you can help:

Make an impact and a gift today by contributing to one of our Health Sciences priorities:

  • Scholarships - The School of Health Sciences wants to continue to offer scholarships to deserving students who are studying and seeking a career in the field of health science.

Anne-Marie Afrasiniei '19 is a scholarship recipient and a junior Health Science major with a concentration in Pre-Occupational Therapy. She works as a student aid in the School of Health Sciences office and sits on the OT Club's executive board. Growing up, she aspired to join the medical field and follow in the footsteps of her mother, who worked as a medical assistant. “I can’t imagine going through life not being able to use either my arms or my legs. I realized that I want to help people get through this – to regain their independence in life,” she said. Her long-term career goal is to work at a geriatric facility, hopefully close to home. Foundation scholarships have helped her throughout her academic journey by lowering her tuition expenses so much so that she did not have to take out extra loans. “I can’t thank these donors enough,” she said. “These scholarships really have made an impact on my career at Stockton!”

  • Program Support - The School of Health Sciences strives to provide every student with an enriching experience. Program support provides the resources necessary to offer a well-rounded health science education.

Philanthropic contributions are essential for innovative academic programming and student enrichment opportunities. To prepare our students for careers in health care, we must provide a strong academic foundation with diverse opportunities for hands-on experience and specialized programs. The expansion of our Manahawkin instructional site, home of our RN-BSN program, in March and the opening of the Health Sciences Center in May enhance our ability to provide excellence in teaching and ensure our students are confident and career-ready.
